After years of wanting a horse, Almost Home owner, Betsy Hicka, investigated many breeds before buying her first Rocky Mountain Horse (also known by the name Kentucky Mountain Saddle horse, and United Mountain Horse.)
Known for their gentle easy-going temperaments and comfortable 4 beat gaited ride, they were the ideal trail riding horse. Pictured is Betsy with 3 of her mares (mother and 2 daughters.)
